Coach Emily Hickingbottom, NSCA-CPT, CF-L1 has developed a skill program to help you level up your CrossFit skills. Emily is a strength and conditioning Coach and CrossFit athlete with a passion for exercise science. With her advanced knowledge in exercise physiology, anatomy, biomechanics, and exercise prescription, athletes can elevate their performance or gain more confidence in their skills. WANT TO REVIEW EVERYTHING? The Foundational Skills package is geared towards athletes who maybe new to CrossFit or need a refresher of the foundational movements of CrossFit. After six sessions, athletes will have the capacity to feel confident in CrossFit Elgin classes. These six sessions break movements into easy to digest pieces and allows Emily to give you direct feedback. This program is built on the principle of threshold training — meaning that we prioritize the basics before anything else. HAVE SOMETHING SPECIFIC IN MIND? Advanced Skill Development is geared towards those looking to expand their CrossFit skillset (ie. weightlifting, conditioning, gymnastics) or overall fitness (ie. employment or academic fitness requirements). Each session is one hour and provides athletes appropriate framework improving their fitness. |
NOT SURE WHERE TO START? Fitness Assessments are a great way to learn more about your fitness level. In a 1-on-1 session with Coach Emily, learn about the way you move and how you can improve. DOES IT WORK? Yes! For best results, IVRY TRAINING strongly recommends athletes participate in CrossFit classes at CrossFit Elgin. Emily has successfully coached athletes gain advanced gymnastic skills (ie. legless rope climb, butterfly kipping pull ups, Chest-to-Bar pull ups), improve Olympic weightlifting technique using a bio-mechanical approach, and gain confidence and independence in life. WHAT IS IVRY TRAINING? Coach Emily founded IVRY TRAINING as a product of her passion for exercise as medicine and its ability to transform lives. The name IVRY TRAINING, refers to a metaphorical place in which athletes can focus on them and what makes them happy through the pursuit of fitness. IVRY TRAINING PHILOSOPHY IVRY TRAINING follows a dynamic model of varied, functional programming and emphasizes the importance technique to improve athletic performance. Our dynamic model allows us as athletes to chase excellence in the gym, in sport, and daily life.
